Presentations
Tuesday's presentations were great! I am so excited that ours is over, I was sooo nervous! I look forward to presentations for today! Anyhow, I really enjoyed Taryn, Amanda, and Katrina's presentation. As a future teacher I look forward to implementing technology within my lessons. It's easy to sit back and say that we all someday will teach with the help of technology but doing so is a little harder than expected. Class time is already crucial and finding places for technology can be difficult at times and much more work than intended. I enjoyed hearing the pros and cons of using technology within the classroom. Like all things in life there are good and bad things to juggle around. Although there were cons I feel if applied correctly technology can really boost the learning environment. By the way, how appropriate was it for us to follow their presentation! That worked out great. Technology can consist of many things such as the world wide web, PowerPoint presentations, and even video games! In a world where we encourage creativity and originality technology can really help get us and our future students there!

You make a good point that technology should be integrated into the classroom. I would really be impressed if computer tech. plus video games could be integrated into a high school English classroom. This way their would be homework of powerpoint presentations, playing video games, and reading Y.A.L. and the classics. I am okay with technology being implemented in the classroom as long as books are also read concurrently with this technology. I also as a future teacher would like to implement tech. into my lessons. The only con that I think schools will have a hard time working around is gaining the money to provide computers and other technological resources for today's high tech students.
How funny! You wrote this and in my response I wrote that I liked yours the best! :) Anyways, I definitely agree with what you are saying about integrating technology. And it was soooo appropriate for your presentation to come after ours! I felt like it really added an extra punch to our presentation by showing how even a form of entertainment can be beneficial when applied correctly. And I thought that our presentation going before yours helped because then we had the audience focused on the idea of integrations and probably (well...hopefully) brainstorming ideas for their own classes. So it all worked out great! :)
